¾Studies

As a knowledge-based organisation, we are well placed and experienced in carrying out technical studies that involve research, analysis and presentation of results in various formats and media. Technical studies can form the basis of process enhancement or training packages to develop specific knowledge and skills.

¾Reports

Through our wide knowledge base, we are able to undertake commissioned reports on a range of subjects. These extend from reports on very specific technical problems on behalf of organisations to more general industry or sector reports on behalf of trade organisations or regulatory authorities.

¾Briefings

We are well positioned to provide executive briefings on the many dimensions of life cycle engineering and management. Such briefing can address technical issues, changes in thinking and methodologies, and other matters related to the achievement of organisational goals for system and product effectiveness performance.

¾Model Building and Prediction

We are able to uniquely build and apply mathematical and simulation models for system life performance parameters such as availability and cost. This capability is based not only on advanced mathematic and simulation modelling expertise but, importantly, on physical engineering knowledge and understanding of operational reality.

¾Model Assessment and Evaluation

Based on its modelling knowledge and practical experience, we are able to independently assess and evaluate models of behalf of its customers. This includes examination of the underlying structure of the model for consistency and integrity as well as fitness for purpose.

¾Data Analysis

Based on its knowledge-based skills and comprehensive set of methods and tools, we are able to offer data analysis services for system and product design, improvement and management. Services include data collection and collation, quantitative data analysis using statistical and probabilistic methods, data interpretation and integration, and presentation through summary analysis tables, figures and graphs to support decision-making. These services enable our customers to have access to leading experts, analysts and methodologies. They also offer the potential for considerable cost saving by out-sourcing to specialists.

¾Data Collection and Collation

We are able to offer its customers a data collection services that includes data from both primary and secondary sources. Where appropriate sampling techniques are used. We are also able to collate data in forms that are suitable for detailed analysis.

¾Statistical Analysis

Statistical analysis is a key tool of management that provides a basis gaining understanding of and insight into decision-making problems. We are able to offer a comprehensive range of analyses and tools from basic statistical measures to advanced data mining to enable our customers to gain more information from data and to make well informed engineering and management decisions.

¾Probabilistic Analysis

Many life cycle engineering parameters are subject to variability in operation and cannot be predicted with absolute certainty. Nevertheless, there are often regularities in behaviour that allows prediction to be made through the use of probability analysis. We have a worldwide reputation for its working in the application of probability analysis to life cycle engineering and management, particularly in reliability, maintainability, supportability and availability analysis.

¾Presentation and Integration

Our data analysis is based not only on the use of analytical techniques but also on sound engineering knowledge and experience. Through our analysis we are able to identify trends and patterns and to make predictions that will inform engineering and management decisions. Moreover, it is often also critical to determine system relationships. We integrate analyses to enable, for example, the calculation of system operational effectiveness measures such as operational availability.
